What Hunting Licenses will I need? How hard is it to cross the border with my firearms?
In this video we talk about what you need to be properly licensed to Hunt for Black Bear in Canada, as well as what firearms not to bring and other considerations when crossing the border into Canada.
We make it easy for you to bring your firearms across the border by sending you the forms and regulations in advance of your trip. This way, you are not held up at the border. Have your forms filled out in triplicate and present all three copies to the customs officer along with $25.
How big are the Black Bears?
Our hunting area is appropriately 300 square kilometers with a wide range of terrain. You will be hunting just off or the notorious “Dead Horse Road”. Bears average about 400 pounds in size, a real trophy especially if your kill has unique markings.
